ESC key causes BRU to Exit

ESC (Escape) key causes BRU to Exit.

Is that intended behavior?
If so, I find it unexpected, & I would think, unwanted.

No confirmation, no nothing, just poof, gone.


No, this must be a bug.
What happened was, I was looking at viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3025 again & I noticed that the status line says:

> Press ESC to cancel. Scanning folder C:\TMP\1\A\test-001...

(At that point, BRU was not scanning anything, that status message should not have been there at all.)
And it was with that, that I pressed ESC only to find that, well, BRU escaped alright, totally escaped .

Yea I like this, I use a lot of esc to clear it but that not going to work

I hope you can fix this behaviour of the escape key, because this alone is going to make me go back to 2.7. The other things I find annoying, I can live with, but this one it's getting on my nerves. Even a 3.0.0.2 with only this fixed would be welcomed. It's been like this for a year it seems.

Pressing ESC looks to no longer cause BRU to abort, which is good.


(Though, while you may still see the message, "Press ESC to cancel...", pressing ESC no longer looks to cancel the scanning of a folder .)

OK, I see the difference.

If you open a directory from within BRU (from the Dir Tree, Picker, or the Directory line), ESC will abort the scan.

If you drag a set of files or directory into BRU, ESC is ineffectual for that.
